Private Notary in Dubai, Arranged Around Your Diary
Finding a private notary in Dubai is easy. Getting a document accepted first time is the harder part. Emiracle prepares your power of attorney, declaration, board resolution or contract, arranges any Arabic legal translation, and books the signing with a private notary licensed by Dubai Courts or through the Dubai Courts e-Notary. You sign once, by video or in person, and receive a notarised instrument that banks, free zones and government departments will recognise. Our consultants work from Downtown Dubai, a short drive from most notary firms in Business Bay, DIFC and Deira.

Dubai runs its own notary regime under Dubai Law No. 4 of 2013 Concerning Notaries Public. Dubai Courts keep the Roll of registered private notaries and authorise the firms they must work through.
SourceUnder Dubai Courts Resolution No. 137 of 2022, a notary can confirm identity, capacity and consent by approved video call between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., so many Dubai documents are notarised without anyone visiting an office.
SourceA Dubai decision regulating the fees charged by private notaries took effect on 2 January 2026, after publication in Official Gazette Issue No. 752, to unify charges across licensed notary offices.
SourceThree ways to get a document notarised in Dubai
Dubai gives you more choice than any other emirate. A government notary at Dubai Courts can attest your document. A private notary, registered on the Dubai Courts Roll and working inside an authorised firm, can do the same work with longer hours and the option of visiting your office. The e-Notary handles many routine instruments online.
Since Law No. 26 of 2021 amended the notary law, a document signed through approved digital channels has the same evidentiary weight as one signed on paper.
Which route is best depends on the document, the parties and where it will be used. Emiracle checks that before anyone books an appointment, so you do not pay for a signing that the receiving bank or authority later rejects.
What a Dubai private notary can attest, and what goes elsewhere
Article 20 of the Dubai notary law lets private notaries carry out the functions of a government notary. Article 21 sets firm limits. Knowing them saves a wasted trip.
- Covered: general and special powers of attorney, declarations and affidavits after oath, commercial contracts, board and shareholder resolutions, date validation and signature attestation.
- Covered: wills made by non-Muslims, and certain documents from licensed churches and religious bodies.
- Not covered: family matters of Muslims and endowments (waqf), which go to the competent court.
- Not covered: deeds that create, transfer or end ownership of real estate, which the Dubai Land Department handles.
How Emiracle makes the signing go smoothly
Most rejections happen before the notary sees the file: a wrong name spelling, a missing Arabic version, an expired trade licence or a scope of authority that is too vague. Emiracle drafts or reviews the wording, arranges legal translation by MOJ-licensed legal translators where Arabic is required, and lines up the supporting papers.
We then arrange the appointment with a licensed private notary or the court notary, confirm whether you can sign by video, and send you a short checklist. After signing, we can carry the instrument on to MOFA attestation or true copy attestation if it will be used abroad or in another emirate.

Frequently asked questions
Can a private notary in Dubai attest a power of attorney for a foreign bank?
Yes, a Dubai Courts licensed private notary can attest a power of attorney for use abroad. The receiving country may also require MOFA and embassy attestation, which Emiracle can arrange afterwards.
Do I have to visit a notary office in person?
No, many Dubai documents can be signed by approved video call. Resolution No. 137 of 2022 allows remote identity checks, though some instruments and recipients still prefer an in-person signing.
Can a Dubai private notary notarise a property sale?
No, transfers of real estate ownership fall outside a notary's powers in Dubai. Those transactions are registered with the Dubai Land Department; a notary can still attest a related power of attorney.
Is a private notary different from the Dubai Courts notary?
Both produce an official instrument under the same Dubai law. Private notaries work through firms authorised by Dubai Courts and often offer longer hours and office visits.
Does my document have to be in Arabic?
Usually a bilingual or Arabic version is needed. Emiracle arranges legal translation through MOJ-licensed legal translators before the signing so the notary can proceed without delay.
How quickly can Emiracle arrange a signing?
Often within one to three working days once the draft is agreed. Timing depends on the notary office calendar and on how quickly supporting documents arrive.
